Green Matcha Latte

Green is in. Matcha latte's are in. It's cool to drink green. We are in the superfood era - preparing food and beverages for maximum benefit. Matcha has powerful health benefits that have brought this powder to the forefront in health food circles.

What is Matcha exactly? Simply put, it's specially grown green tea leaves that are finely ground to a powder to use in beverages and healthy superfoods. Historically it has been utilized in East Asia.

It has abundant catechins known for being powerful antioxidants. Matcha powder mixed into a beverage is superior to steeping green tea leaves in hot water as it contains the entire leaf and it's nutrients. It is a terrific replacement for coffee. You'll find that you have a calmer sense of focus and alertness instead of the usual coffee buzz.

It is extremely easy to make a mug of matcha latte or chill it for a refreshing summer beverage over ice.


2 tsp. Matcha powder

1 cup Almond milk

Sweetener - (I like stevia or honey)

1 drop doTERRA Peppermint or Cinnamon Bark oil

Add all ingredients (except essential oil) to sauce pan. Heat until near boiling. Pour liquid into a blender, preferably glass or stainless steel. Add essential oil. Blend for 30 seconds. Serve hot or chill and serve on ice.
