Handmade Geranium - Lavender Soap

This is a natural bar soap recipe to gently cleanse and moisturize the sensitive skin of the face and body with doTERRA Geranium & Lavender oils. You can also add some pink clay powder to the mixture. Experiment with other oils to make new combinations with Geranium and Lavender. Try Ylang Ylang, Clary Sage, Grapefruit, and Cedarwood.

500 grams of melt and pour soap base (makes two large soap bars)
Dried lavender, flower petals, or potpourri mix
Soap colouring
20 drops of Geranium
5 drops of Lavender
Silicone mould
Cut soap base into small chunks and place in a heat-proof glass container.
Boil a few centimetres of water in a pan. Place the glass container into the pan and stir the chunks until melted.
Once the chunks have melted, remove the pan from the heat.
Add the soap colouring, sprinkle in some lavender, add the essential oils and stir all the ingredients well.
Next, sprinkle more dried flowers on the bottom of each silicone mould.
Proceed to pour the soap mixture into the moulds and rest for two to three hours or until the mixture is hard.
Once hard, remove the soap from the silicone mould.
Store the soaps in a plastic bag until ready to use.
